Webaspx Launch Distribution Resource Planning Service

Webaspx launched their Distribution Resource Planning Service at The Logistics Event, held at the ICC, Birmingham on 25th and 26th June 2002.

The Distribution Resource Planning Service is designed for haulage and logistics operators for the practical planning and optimisation of routing and scheduling of transportation assets. The Service utilises Webaspx extensive range of supply chain planning products, giving the logistics operator the opportunity to utilise latest optimisation technology, without the purchasing and installation of software.

At the heart of the logistics range is Aspire Land Transport Optimiser, a powerful strategic and tactical logistics tool, fully customised for any business rule. It can be used to analyse historical performance, preparing tenders or examining future “what if?” scenarios. It will optimise master routes, depots, resources and customer service. Drag and drop technology is used to create and modify plans and work schedules, which can then be optimised using our unique optimisation technology.

The Webaspx logistics range was launched earlier in the year, following extensive development work and wide experience of delivering supply chain solutions to companies in the chemical industry. Current logistics customers include Agility Logistics, Suttons Group, Huntsman Petrochemicals and Tessenderlo UK.
