Custom Decision Support Solutions: Analysis, Modelling, Consultancy or Software

In addition to our standard solutions, such as waste collection round design, we also offer unique and often highly innovative client specific custom solutions. We help our clients answer a wide range of questions, for example:

  • “how can I improve how my service is monitored and improved?”
  • “can I achieve a better service level with my existing people, equipment and vehicles?”

We are able to quickly analyse and structure our clients’ unique operational issues so that we can determine the most appropriate consultancy, modelling or software solution.

Consultancy or Software?

Depending on the problem, we may simply carry out an “off-line” analysis and provide our clients with a simple consultancy solution. In this case, the deliverable may be a report or a data-set or a spreadsheet. Alternatively, we may deliver a fully operational software system as part of the solution.

Spreadsheet validation and improvement – we are regularly called upon to review the spreadsheet tools used by our client to analyse, plan and report their operations. These may be simple or sophisticated. In any case, we can review them and decide whether to improve them or replace them with software tools

Our spreadsheet validation and improvement service has been deployed in a wide range of sectors including:

  • Bidding for highways contracts. Webaspx were able to save £4M from a £28M contract through analysis of maintenance activities and costs held on existing spreadsheets.
  • Facilities Planning – optimising preventative versus reactive maintenance to minimise lifetime costs.
